TRINITARIAN CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH (TCC)
2 PINE STREET, PO BOX 2068, NORTON, MA 02766
WE LOVE OUR TCC KIDS!
From Nursery care, through Sunday School, to Confirmation and beyond, we nurture our children and welcome their individuality. Please contact the church office if you have any questions – better yet, come for a visit and see what we’re all about!
ALL CHILDREN ARE WELCOME ALL OF THE TIME.
At the Trinitarian Congregational Church we hold our Sunday School during the worship service. We offer Nursery Care for infants and toddlers, and Sunday school classes for preschool (age 3 by September 1) through 8th grade. Confirmation class is held after church throughout the year for 9th graders.
We have an active Sunday School Program that allows our youth (PreK-8th grade) to explore and grow in their faith journey. Karin Brooks, our Superintendent, leads this endeavor supported by many adults, usually but not always parents, who volunteer to teach and assist. Many participants see this as an opportunity to explore and deepen their faith while helping walking with others. Anyone who works with our youth must have a background check (CORI) done.
In the Nursery, we care for infants up to 3 years old, when they join the preschool class starting in September. We are blessed with the nurturing care of Maria Kollar and Olivia Dalton. They alternate Sundays, so your child will get to know both women well.
When the children are dismissed from worship to attend Sunday School, Preschool through 5th Grade join together for a gathering lesson and then are divided into classrooms by age group. Middle school students gather for a separate lesson.
Confirmation Class is offered for 9th graders and classes are held throughout the year after worship on Sundays.
For Preschool through 3rd Grade
For 3rd through 12th grades
(High School students are also warmly welcomed in the adult choir.)
Though we encourage year-long participation, both Choirs are flexible, short-term commitments. There will be three or four rehearsals, then a performance in church. This cycle is repeated several times throughout the year. This allows children to “try it out,” and for families with other seasonal commitments to participate as much as they are able.
Youth Choir members also may participate in the Annual Choristers Guild Choir Festival. It is an all-day youth event with rehearsals, activities, and lunch culminating in a festival worship service filled with song!
TRINITARIAN YOUTH GROUP (TYG)
TYG is a youth group program designed to support the youth of our local communities. Our hope is to instill Christian values through the use of age-specific-designed programming that encourages growth, fellowship, character education, community outreach, teamwork, leadership and positive social interaction.
HELP NEEDED: Our TYG group is in need of new leadership! No experience required, but enthusiasm is a must! Volunteer to help with TYG here.
We here at Trinitarian Youth Group (TYG) are dedicated toworking collaboratively with our young adults as they travel along their faith journey.
TYG is for youth in grades 4-8. Youth do not need to be members of the Trinitarian Congregational Church to participate.
